Home advantage can often be a hindrance as the weight of expectation is much more, says Virat Kohli.
As India look to begin their World T20 campaign against New Zealand, they are being backed to go the
distance in the tournament.

When everyone — from the room service guy to the bus driver ferrying the team to the stadium — expecting nothing less than a title triumph, the pressure can be unbearable. Kohli is no stranger to such things as he
was part of the team that won the World Cup in 2011. He admits it is difficult to ignore these factors and
the only place the cricketers can get a break from it all is on the field.

While the 2011 World Cup team had some veterans like Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan, the current team has many youngsters. Kohli urged the young guns to view this pressure as an opportunity to rise to
the occasion.
He feels that one must manage oneself properly on and off the field. He prefers to take it as challenge.

Team India has the most balanced side – a good batting line-up, a well-equipped bowling unit, great fielders and a cool skipper at the helm. One hopes they can rise to the level of the fans’ expectations as they look become the first team to win a second World T20 title.
