My two cents on why we need feminism. Sure you can be an egalitarian/humanist/equalist but you cannot be one if you’re not a feminist. Equality by definition means; two quantities are equal/state of being equal. But we do not live in a society (unfortunately) where men and women are on the same level playing field. Women do not enjoy the same opportunities, rights, and freedom as their male counterparts. And therefore, we need feminism to uplift and empower women and that in turn will bring about gender equality. P.S.
