The fans of Sushant Singh Rajput could eventually breathe a sigh of relief when the Supreme Court ordered the CBI take charge and review the death of the star. The supreme court directed Mumbai police to comply with the authority and provide all related documentation and information acquired in the case. According to a news report, Justice Hrishikesh Roy gave the verdict under Section 406 of CrPC. Not just that, the SC also upheld the Patna FIR filed by Sushant Singh Rajput’s father against actress and Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty.
While that actress had pleaded with the top court to transfer the FIR registered in Patna to Mumbai, it didn’t pan out since the Mumbai police had filed only an accidental death report. The court said it has limited power and granted Bihar administration the go for it had presented a full-fledged FIR.
Needless to say, the actor’s family, friends and fans are hailing the order. Several of his fans and acquaintances let out a sigh of relief on hearing the good news. Sushant’s sisters, Shweta Singh Kirti and Meetu Singh, were the first ones to break the news.
Even Bollywood celebrities who had rallied their support of #CBIForSSR also lauded the decision of SC. From Akshay Kumar to Kangana Ranaut, and from Kriti Sanon to Ankita Lokhande, many industry members are hopeful that truth shall prevail. Here are the reactions.
