The first poster for Disney’s live-action Aladdin remake is finally out. Disney has gained a huge amount of success revisiting some of their animated classics and re-imagining them in live-action for modern audiences in recent years.
One of the next movies up on that front is Aladdin, which hits the theatres next summer and now, we finally have our first look at what to expect and, though it’s really just a tease, it’s sure to get the fans of the original excited.

Will Smith, who has the honour of playing the role of Genie, yesterday took to instagram, to release the first official poster of the movie. It features the magic lamp from the 1992 original in the centre with a similar shade of blue emanating from it. The poster doesn’t even feature the title of the movie. It just announces the release of the movie in May 2019 and mentions the words ‘Choose Wisely’ at the bottom. Apparently, the title of the movie isn’t even necessary. People will get it as soon as they see the image. And, the caption by Will Smith booms our excitement even more.
He writes, “LEMME OUT!! Can’t wait for y’all to see Me BLUE! 🙂 #aladdin”

The poster is really great and is the first bit of marketing for the Aladdin Remake. The live-action remake will be directed by Guy Ritchie and will star Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Scott as Jasmine, and Will Smith as the Genie. With just 7 months left for the movie to release, we wonder if the teaser trailer isn’t as far behind. Along with that, award-winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul  also write a new original song for Princess Jasmine in the remake. The film will hit the theatres on May 24, 2019.
