There are a few pages of history that don’t make into our reading material. Furthermore, one such intriguing story is that of the Subhash Chandra Bose-drove armed force unit, Azad Hind Fauj.

This was a unit under the temporary Indian Government, that earned the help of Imperial Japan while it created in Singapore.

Sadly, the Azad Hind Fauj was not able satisfy its objectives. It met with a fairly disillusioning destiny when the main officers confronted court military under the temporary Indian Government, driven by the British.

Famously known as the Red Fort Trials, the officers were charged on the grounds of murder, abbetment to murder, torment and injustice.

Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Raag Desh will uncover the narrative of the joint court military of three officers, in particular Colonel Prem Sahgal, Colonel Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon and Major General Shah Nawaz Khan.
