As the debate around nepotism continues and how the film industry is not giving the outsiders the fair chances in the wake of Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic demise, people have been targeting star kids like Alia Bhatt, Ananya Pandey, and Ishaan Khattar.
A campaign to make Sadak 2 the most disliked trailer on YouTube was launched and people made it the most hated trailer. Hashtags around ‘boycott Sadak 2’ trended on Twitter for days and people kept writing about how they don’t relate to Bollywood anymore. The film, a sequel to Bhatt’s 1991 hit Sadak, also features the original star cast Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt along with Aditya Roy Kapur.
Earlier Alia’s sister Pooja Bhatt came forward to support the actor and now, director Prakash Jha is saddened by how people are targeting Alia as she is a good actor.

However most of them feel that the protest is unfair, and one of them is Prakash Jha. The filmmaker was asked about this protest against Sadak 2 and star kids, to which he said, “There’s no denying that Alia Bhatt is a fantastic actress and that Mahesh Bhatt saab is an excellent Director, who has made many great movies. To drag them down over some theories that have no evidence because people are saying whatever they want, makes no sense”.
He further added, “I don’t follow social media much but what’s happening in the case of Sadak 2, if it has become the most disliked video like they say, and if it’s only for this reason, then it’s obnoxious, very sad and very unfair”.
When asked about Sushant Singh Rajput, “Maybe there were certain offers where Sushant Singh Rajput was kind of like pushed out, I don’t know, but that happens all the time. You can’t make that as a general rule and some people who are trying to make a big thing out of it, it’s obnoxious, I don’t feel it’s right.”
Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, there is a large protest going on to boycott all the star kids and not watch their films. And the first film that has come under the radar is Sadak 2. The film’s trailer got maximum dislikes ever and since then, all the star kids movies have been brutally bashed, from Janhvi Kapoor’s Kargil Girl to Ananya Pandey’s Khaali Peeli.
People on Twitter told Prakash that he cannot force them to like Sadak 2 and are targeting him for lauding for Bhatts
