Until now, DDLJ has won 10 Filmfare Awards, including Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Director at the 1996 edition of the ceremony. Interestingly, Aditya Chopra originally wanted the film to be about a relationship between an Indian and an American. He wanted Tom Cruise for the role of Raj but was dissuaded by father Yash Chopra, who did not want to use a foreign star.
Meanwhile, SRK will be seen in the upcoming Aanand L Rai’s Zero which will star Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. The DDLJ actor will put on a whole new character where he will play a midget in the film while Anushka becomes a scientist and Katrina is a superstar suffering from substance abuse.
Kajol, on the other hand, recently released her movie Helicopter Eela where she played the role of a single mother opposite Bengali actor Riddhi Sen.
