There are some actors who turn superstars overnight with a movie. Then there are some who remain megastars despite delivering horrendous flicks. But perhaps the lot, to whom our heart really goes out to, are the underrated actors who wow us with their performances but never seem to get their due. They make the most out of every role they get but just don’t seem to get the limelight they truly deserve.

#repost @hope_humans ・・・ Abhay Deol – Actor, fitness enthusiast, eco-warrior. This is his story of H.O.P.E. “I used to think of climate change as a far removed distant issue, as I guess a lot of us did until it started getting up close and personal. We see it in our everyday life now. The weather’s extremities, polluted lakes, and rivers, choking marine life. Unless you live under a rock, there’s no way you haven’t witnessed this devastation. I realized that we must act NOW because the cliche is indeed true that better late than never. As a public figure, I realized that it’s possible to reach a broad audience with a responsible message. I now support and encourage as many green initiatives as possible. When I built a house in Goa, I was initially excited about its aesthetics and functional aspects but I hadn’t factored in the importance of sustainability while building it! Now, I can’t enjoy living in a house that will add massively to my carbon footprint. So I started making my home eco -friendly. I now have rainwater harvesting on site, I am installing solar panels, composting my wet dirt, recycling the dry, I have started farming on site to name a few new additions. On set or on location I carry glass bottles of water to drink which I fill with filtered water from whichever hotel I am staying in. I reject single-use plastic, I keep cotton or hemp bags at home so that I don’t need to take plastic bags from shops. I don’t invest in companies that pollute and support those that are using environment-friendly green technologies like B:Live and Boheco. I’m always in search of the latest green technologies to see how effective they could be and if I can implement them in my home, and I’m always encouraging others to do the same. So if you are reading my story, wherever and however you can, I hope you will join me in doing your bit for the environment.” #humansofplanetearth #hope #greenwarriors #BLive #GoGreen #greenmatters
