Fox has quite recently moved the release dates for a couple of its forthcoming titles, including X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Gambit, and Alita: Battle Angel. By means of Deadline, X-Men: Dark Phoenix will move from its February 14, 2019 release date and turn into a mid year blockbuster with another date of June 7, 2019, after past reports of reshoots.

This move takes after the film’s legitimate trailer that was released on this past Wednesday and gave us our first look at the next entry in the X-Men Saga.

The Dark Phoenix trailer is at present sitting at more than 8 million views on 20th Century Fox’s YouTube channel and in China it came to more than 44 million perspectives in the initial 24 hours.

The film is written and directed by Simon Kinberg, and stars James McAvoy, Sophie Turner, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, and Jessica Chastain. In Dark Phoenix, the X-Men must face the full power of the Phoenix after a mission to space goes wrong.
In Dark Phoenix, the X-Men confront their most considerable and intense enemy: one of their own, Jean Gray. Amid a rescue mission in space, Jean is almost killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic power. When she returns home, this power makes her limitlessly more great, as well as unmistakably shaky. Grappling with this element inside her, Jean releases her forces in manners she can neither fathom nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and harming the ones she adores most, she starts to unwind the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Presently, with this family falling apart, they should figure out how to unite — not only to spare Jean’s spirit, but to save our planet from outsiders who wish to weaponize this power and rule the universe.
