French picture taker Antoine Geiger makes photographs of individuals having their countenances sucked into their cellphones. The task, titled SUR-FAKE, touches on issues of innovation dependance and habit: “It is setting the screen as an object of ‘mass subculture’, distancing the connection to our own body, and all the more for the most part to the physical world.”
Antoine Geiger is a 20-year-old picture taker who’s lived in Britain, France and the Netherlands. In the course of the most recent two years, he’s had four displays, and been said or distributed in print ten times.
