The Uttar Pradesh Vigilance Establishment carried out the search after obtaining a court warrant in connection with a Disproportionate Assets Case under the Prevention of Corruption Act.Key HighlightsVigilance officials recovered assets worth around ₹35 crore.₹1.62 crore in cash was seized from the residence.Around 13 kg of gold and 9 kg of silver were recovered.Property documents, investments, and vehicles were also seized.Lucknow Vigilance Raid Uncovers Huge AssetsThe Lucknow Vigilance Raid was conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Chandralok Colony residence of Former ARTO Lalit Kumar, who earlier served as Assistant Regional Transport Officer in Agra.According to the Uttar Pradesh Vigilance Establishment, the search was carried out after a vigilance inquiry found that Kumar allegedly owned assets beyond his known sources of income.Officials recovered ₹1.62 crore in cash, which was reportedly hidden in packets at different locations inside the house.The Lalit Kumar Vigilance Raid is being investigated by the Lucknow Sector of the Uttar Pradesh Vigilance Establishment under the directions of the state government.Watch the Full Video on Instagram:Lucknow Vigilance RaidGold, Silver and Property Documents SeizedDuring the Lucknow Vigilance Raid, investigators also recovered around 13 kilograms of gold in the form of bars, bricks, jewellery, and ornaments.They also seized about 9 kilograms of silver, including silver bars, biscuits, and jewellery.Government-approved valuers estimated the worth of the recovered gold and silver at nearly ₹20 crore.The search team also found documents linked to several residential houses, plots, agricultural land, and booked flats located in Lucknow, Noida, Barabanki, and Rae Bareli. Officials estimated the value of these immovable properties at approximately ₹13 crore.Corruption Investigation ContinuesAs part of the ongoing Corruption Investigation, vigilance officials also recovered investment documents related to more than ₹1 crore in fixed deposits, bank accounts, post office savings schemes, and mutual funds.The search also led to the seizure of two vehicles—a Toyota Innova and a Hyundai i20—along with a licensed revolver and expensive household items.Investigators prepared a complete inventory of all valuables found during the operation.The Property Documents Seized and financial records are now being verified to determine whether they form part of the alleged disproportionate assets.Uttar Pradesh Vigilance Expands ProbeOfficials said the total value of the Cash Recovery Lucknow, precious metals, investments, and property documents recovered during the Lucknow Vigilance Raid is estimated at around ₹35 crore.The Uttar Pradesh Vigilance Establishment stated that all recovered assets will be examined as part of the Disproportionate Assets Case, and further legal action will follow based on the investigation.The agency also announced a ₹1 lakh reward for the Lucknow Sector vigilance team that conducted the successful operation, recognizing their efforts in one of the state's biggest recent anti-corruption actions.Also Read : Fire Breaks Out at Delhi Factory Near Punjab National Bank, Firefighters Respond
