The teaser of Sara Ali Khan’s debut film Kedarnath released on the Internet on 29th October and it in a instantly turned into a web sensation. Talking about the trailer, Sara’s actress mother Amrita Singh told Pinkvilla: “Just pray for my kid. I think she is very beautiful. I have seen the teaser.” Kedarnath is a romantic tale set against the background of the 2013 Kedarnath flood, which desolated the pilgrimage town in Uttarakhand. Sara Ali Khan has been cast opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in the Abhishek Kapoor-directed film and it is safe to state that the 23-year-old performer guaranteed that everyone’s eyes were on her in the one-and-a-half-minute teaser.
Kedarnath is co-produced by Abhishek’s wife Pragya Yadav through his Guy In The Sky Pictures and Ronnie Screwvala through RSVP Movies. The movie has been written by Kanika Dhillon, screenwriter of Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan which hit screens in September this year. The cinematography is by Tushar Kanti Ray and the music is by Amit Trivedi.

In Kedarnath, Sara assumes the job of a pioneer/tourist named Mukku, who begins to look all starry eyed at Mansoor (Sushant Singh Rajput), who is helping her travel the troublesome 14-km journey trek from Gauri Kund to Kedarnath on a ‘kandi.’
