Marriages might be made in heaven, but, according to English writer and feminist Julie Bindel, they’re not exactly a feminist’s paradise. Bindel, a co-founder of the law-reform group Justice for Women, opines in this video for The Guardian that marriage is an oppressive institution. It cannot, she says, be declared as a feminist act, and ‘reclaimed’ from its oppressive roots.
