At a time when movie tickets cost almost ₹400 in some parts of Delhi, there are some people who watch films for ₹10. Inside a tent under one of Delhi’s oldest bridges, there is a makeshift, ‘illegal’ cinema which provides entertainment, as well as respite from the heat, to labourers and rickshaw-pullers. Despite being a great boon for these people, the cinema is in danger of being shut down, because it’s illegal. This video tells you how much this cinema means to the people who go there.
