Your wish is granted. The debut teaser trailer for Guy Ritchie’s live-action Aladdin, starring Will Smith as the Genie, has arrived. And, at this point, we’re in a whole another world.

Disney’s Aladdin remake stars Mena Massoud (Jack Ryan) as Aladdin, a so-called “street rat” who dreams of notoriety, grandness, and wealth. We’ve additionally got Naomi Smith (Power Rangers) as Jasmine, and Marwan Kenzari (Murder on the Orient Express) as Jafar, the evil sorcerer who plots to take over the kingdom.
Sadly, there’s no Genie in sight here. Only a couple of brief scenes and a little piece of music. A genuine tone trailer. The Cave of Wonders looks incredible. Color us interested.

Following the pattern of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast remake, Ritchie’s Aladdin is also a musical- there was even another tune made for Jasmine with composer Alan Menken. We’re interested to hear how the tunes turn out—particularly with respect to Smith’s Genie. Unique star Robin Williams put a ton of his personality into the role, and we’re certain Smith has done likewise. However, regardless of whether that implies we’re getting a “Wild West”- style song is impossible to say.

The first teaser trailer of the movie undoubtedly looks nothing short of magical.
The Sultan’s kingdom is an absolutely beautiful, golden oasis in the middle of all that sprawling desert sand.
And if you’re wondering if any of our fave animal companions are going to be in the movie, the answer is a resounding yes. In the trailer, Iago flies over the city to the tune of “Arabian Nights,” only to arrive at the Cave of Wonders—AKA the lion head with the extremely creepy voice. “Only one may enter here…one whose worth lies far within…the diamond in the rough”, states the voice of the stone tiger that guards the cave.

We also get a sneak peek of Egyptian-born Canadian actor Mena Massoud as everyone’s favorite rags-to-riches prince Aladdin. And he looks spot-on! He should probably lose the shirt, though.
The live-action movie’s version of Princess Jasmine will also be updated. British-Indian actress Naomi Scott, who is set to play the fierce, tiger-taming princess.

Until then, here’s the official teaser trailer of Disney’s Aladdin Remake-
